May 08, 2026 - FASBrazilian striker Chrigor Moraes continues to shine for Selangor FC after scoring his 40th goal of the season during the first leg of the 2025/26 ACC Shopee Cup semi-final against Nam Dinh FC recently.
The goal not only broke the long-standing record of Indonesian legend Bambang Pamungkas, who scored 39 goals, a record that had stood for 19 years, but also cemented Chrigor’s place among the top scorers in Selangor FC history.
Having made 45 appearances across all competitions this season, Chrigor has netted 23 goals in the Super League, five in the FA Cup, five in the Malaysia Cup, four in the ACL Two, and three in the ACC Shopee Cup, averaging an impressive 0.89 goals per game.
His outstanding form has also placed him at the top of the Super League scoring charts, two goals ahead of his closest challenger. Aptly nicknamed “Chrigoal”, the Brazilian forward continues to prove his remarkable consistency in front of goal.
Chrigor was quick to credit his teammates and the supporters for his achievements.
“I’m very happy to score goals and help the team. The support from my teammates and the fans has helped me stay focused and perform well. Since arriving at Selangor, I’ve felt at home here, and that has really helped my performances,” he said.
Head coach Kim Pan-gon also praised Chrigor’s contribution beyond just scoring goals. “Chrigor works extremely hard, not only in attack but also defensively. He is a leader, selfless, always caring for his teammates, and consistently helps maintain harmony and high morale within the squad,” he said.
Next week, Selangor FC will once again face Nam Dinh FC in the second leg of the semi-final at Thien Truong Stadium, Vietnam, on Wednesday, 13 May, at 6:30 PM Malaysia time.
With only a few matches remaining this season, Chrigor remains determined to continue breaking records and aiming for even greater achievements, reflecting his ambition and commitment to helping Selangor FC reach even greater heights.
